Coach Solca brings both international and US competitive soccer coaching experience to SOLAR in addition to his international playing experience. He began his coaching career while still in college as the Coordinator and Head coach of the Youth Soccer Program in an elementary school in Bucharest, Romania. He became the Head Varsity Soccer Coach at George Calinescu HS, also in Bucharest, in 1997 where he remained until he cam to the US in 1999 and began coaching in North Texas. He coached for Fossil Creek Fire and Texas Lightning before joining SOLAR. All of his teams have played in Division I of the prestigious North Dallas Chamber of Commerce Classic League, winning multiple tournaments in the process including the prestigous 'Dallas Cup'.
Coach Solca was a member of the Youth National Soccer team in Romania from 1990 to 1992. He played college soccer while at the National Academy of Physical Education and Sports and was named MVP of the varsity team in 1995-96. While at the National Academy he was on the dean's list from 93-97 and represented the student body in the Academy's Senate. He was Valedictorian of his class at the National Academy when he graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He continued his studies and in 1998 attained his Master's Degree in Physical Education and Sports, Before leaving Bucharest he was named 1999 National Soccer Coach of the Year, High Schools soccer competition.
Coach Solca is certified at a UEFA Level "A" and carries a trainer diploma from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Bucharest, Romania. Coach Solca coaches our Tarrant County teams;
