 The purpose of the Solar Soccer Academy is to introduce the concepts of sound technical skills coupled with team tactical execution. Skills such as controlling, passing, heading, dribbling and defending are taught. The ability to move to open spaces and working together towards a common goal are emphasized in this team sport. A balance between individual play and team play are stressed. The player is encouraged to experiment and deploy their newly learned techniques in small sided games during each clinic. This reinforces the creativity and learning that takes place during the skills sessions. As these young players head toward their goal of playing select soccer they will have the opportunity to train with some of the top Division I Solar coaches in weekly skills clinics and playing in local academy leagues. Solar’s mission of "Soccer Excellence Through Development" is carried on at all Solar Soccer Academies. So bring your budding soccer player out for some fun while learning excellent soccer skills. Director of Solar Soccer Academy Activities for Dallas Announces Program Curtis Partain, a well-known and active member of the Dallas soccer community, has been appointed as the director of Solar Soccer Academy-Dallas. His responsibilities for teams in the Dallas-Plano areas are effective immediately. All questions about Solar Soccer Academy teams training in Tarrant County should continue to be directed to Coach Adrian Solca at 682.365.7073. Any question regarding Solar's Academy program for teams either in Dallas/Collin Counties or in and around Tarrant County can always be directed to the Director of Coaching for Solar Soccer Club, Mr. Kevin Smith at 972.233.3146.
